AFRICON 2025: Bridging Continents, Building Futures

Amplify Africa Takes Atlanta with Vision, Culture, and Global Connectivity

As AFRICON enters its next chapter, Amplify Africa is doubling down on its mission to bridge Africa and its Diaspora in a tangible, transformative way. Set to take place in Atlanta in 2025, this year’s edition centers on one bold, unifying vision: access—to capital, to opportunity, and to each other.

“We’re raising the bar,” said Damilare Kujembola, CEO of Amplify Africa. “Every AFRICON lays new bricks in a global ecosystem. This year is about making those bridges even stronger, more intentional, and more actionable.”

More Than a Celebration—An Economic Engine

AFRICON 2025 continues to position itself at the intersection of culture and commerce. The festival’s core programming will explore pathways to global markets, business expansion, and diasporic wealth creation—delivering not only inspiration, but infrastructure for sustainable growth.

From curated investment matchmaking to artist showcases and policy panels, AFRICON reflects a real-time blueprint for how global Black communities can collaborate and thrive. “We’re spotlighting banks, VCs, and African production companies to create two-way value exchanges,” said Dami. “The bridge must be cultural and economic.”

Why Atlanta?

Known as the “Black Mecca,” Atlanta is a natural home for this global celebration. Its influence across music, tech, media, and business makes it the ideal launchpad for deeper diasporic connectivity.

“Planting roots in Atlanta allows us to connect the local Black community with global African excellence,”Dami added.

Scaling With Intention

Executing a global festival in a new city comes with challenges—but for Timi Adeyeba, Head of Production & Operations, those obstacles are matched with innovation.

“One of our biggest wins has been assembling a team of local partners who’ve become our boots on the ground,” he said.

Timi emphasized that AFRICON doesn’t scale by diluting authenticity—it grows by amplifying it. Each vertical—music, tech, fashion, film, policy—works as part of a unified cultural ecosystem.

“We curate experiences where these sectors don’t just coexist—they collaborate,” he explained.

What’s New in 2025?

  • Mentorship Circles to connect students, professionals, and entrepreneurs with seasoned leaders
  • SME Workshops offering tactical, growth-oriented resources
  • The Film Vertical Debut, spotlighting African cinema and storytelling in partnership with Nollywood and global creators
  • Continued integration of Trade & Policy conversations, through collaboration with FITCC and Fidelity Bank, focusing on diaspora investment and global economic exchange

What’s Next?

If there’s one thing the AFRICON team is dreaming about—it’s year-round impact. A membership model, digital platform, and mobile app are all on the horizon.

“AFRICON isn’t just a conference,” Dami and Timi both echo, “It’s a global cultural movement—a homecoming, an incubator, and a launchpad for what’s next in the Black world.”
