The Compozers: Architects of the Afrobeats Live Experience

There is Afrobeats the playlist. And then there is Afrobeats when The Compozers touch it.

If you have ever watched Asake command a stadium, felt Davido shake a crowd, or seen Tiwa Savage glide across a stage while the music felt bigger, warmer and louder than the recording, chances are you were feeling The Compozers at work.

They are the live translation of a movement.

For the past 15 years, the London-born collective SJ, Nana, Pokes, C Biggz and David Melodee have shaped what Afrobeats feels like in real life. Not just heard. Felt.

Globally recognised as pioneers of the live Afrobeats movement, they have toured internationally as the official live band for artists like Asake and Davido, collaborating with Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie, J Hus, NSG and Oxlade.

But their genius lies in something deeper than star power.

They do not just play the songs. They rebuild them.

A Compozers set transforms familiar hits into layered, breathing, percussive experiences. Live horns stretch melodies. Drums hit deeper. Basslines pulse harder. What was once a three-minute streaming record becomes a shared communal release.

A Movement Made for the Stage

From Royal Albert Hall to OVO Arena Wembley, and a three-night sold-out residency at The Jazz Cafe, The Compozers have proven that Afrobeats live is not a side act. It is a spectacle.

Fresh from a triumphant Africa tour, they now bring that same energy westward with their 2026 US and UK tour.

2026 US & UK Tour Dates

February 28 – Los Angeles, CA – The Peppermint Club

March 3 – Houston, TX – Warehouse Live Midtown

March 5 – Chicago, IL – Chop Shop

March 6 – Toronto, ON – The Garrison

March 7 – Manhattan, NY – Sounds of Brazil

March 14 – Atlanta, GA – Vinyl at Center Stage

April 14 – London, UK – Roundhouse

With special guests, an incredible DJ line-up and a show designed to keep crowds moving from start to finish, this tour marks the next chapter in their global takeover.

Afrobeats is no longer emerging. It is established. It is global. It is dominant.

And The Compozers are stepping into 2026 not as supporting players, but as leaders of the live experience that helped build this moment.
