Remitly X Ghana Trip Giveaway

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Overview

Amplify Africa Inc. (“Amplify Africa”) in partnership with Discover GIDI LLC, is pleased to offer an all-expense-paid trip to Ghana. By participating in this giveaway, entrants agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

This Giveaway is open only to:

1. Legal residents or citizens of the United States or Canada
2. Individuals 21 years of age or older as of November 7, 2025
3. Entrants who hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months of validity beyond the travel period
4. Individuals with no travel restrictions to or from Ghana or within the U.S. or Canada

Employees, contractors, or affiliates of Remitly, Amplify Africa, or Discover Gidi, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

3. Giveaway Period

1. Start Date: Friday, November 7, 2025
2. End Date: Saturday, November 30, 2025, at 11:59 PM (PST)

The winner will be selected and notified no later than Monday, December 2, 2025.

4. Prize Details

One (1) winner will receive:

1. A roundtrip economy-class flight from a major airport in the U.S. or Canada to Accra, Ghana
2. Accommodation in Ghana for the specified period (up to 5 nights)
3. Local airport pickup and drop-off in Ghana
4. Curated travel experience in partnership with Discover Gidi LLC 

Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be exchanged for cash or other alternatives. Travel must be completed in December 2025 as specified by Amplify Africa and Discover Gidi.

6. FLIGHT BOOKING AND COST LIMITATIONS

Amplify Africa, in partnership with Discover Gidi, will coordinate and directly purchase round-trip airfare from the United States or Canada to Accra, Ghana for the selected winner. The total cost of the flight must not exceed three thousand U.S. dollars ($3,000.00). Any flight costs beyond this amount will not be covered by the organizers and may be the responsibility of the winner.

Amplify Africa and Discover Gidi reserve the sole right to select the flight itinerary, airline, travel class, and booking platform. No cash equivalent, reimbursement, or substitution will be offered in lieu of the flight prize.

7. Winner Responsibilities

1. Must respond to prize notification within 48 hours of being contacted
2. Must provide necessary documentation (passport, travel availability, etc.) within 5 days
3. Responsible for securing any applicable travel insurance, vaccinations, and travel requirements
4. Must comply with all travel and entry regulations for Ghana, the U.S., and/or Canada

Failure to meet these obligations will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected at the sponsor’s discretion.

8. CONTENT CREATION & BRAND USAGE COMMITMENT

As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner agrees to create and share digital content throughout the course of the trip to Ghana. This includes, but is not limited to: photos, videos, and testimonials that highlight their travel experience and the use of the Remitly app to send money during their stay.

The winner grants Amplify Africa, Discover Gidi, and Remitly a royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, and distribute this content across social media, digital marketing, and other promotional platforms. Content may be requested in real-time during the trip or submitted within 5 business days post-travel.

Failure to fulfill this content obligation may result in forfeiture of additional perks or reimbursements associated with the trip.

 

9. Cancellation and Forfeiture

1. If the winner cancels or is unable to travel for any reason, the prize will be forfeited.
2. No alternate arrangements or compensations will be made unless at the sole discretion of the sponsor.
3. Amplify Africa and Remitly reserve the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value or cancel the giveaway in the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., travel restrictions, force majeure, vendor unavailability).

10. Taxes and Reporting Obligations

1. Winner is solely responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees associated with receiving or using the prize.
2. Amplify Africa will not withhold taxes nor file on the winner’s behalf. Any applicable tax reporting (including but not limited to IRS Form 1099 or Canadian equivalents) will be the responsibility of the winner.
3. By entering, participants acknowledge and agree to these tax-related obligations. 

11. Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

By entering, participants acknowledge and agree that:

1. They are participating voluntarily and at their own risk.
2. Amplify Africa, Remitly, Discover Gidi, and their respective affiliates, partners, and representatives shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, or delay arising out of or related to participation in the giveaway or use of the prize, including but not limited to travel-related incidents, health risks, or third-party negligence.
3. Winner agrees to waive, release, and hold harmless the sponsors from any and all liability.

12. Travel Insurance Disclaimer

1. Travel insurance is not included in the prize.
2. It is the winner’s sole responsibility to purchase adequate travel insurance, including trip cancellation, medical, personal liability, and baggage loss coverage, if desired. 

13. Publicity and Usage Rights

By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their name, image, likeness, social media handle, and content related to the trip for marketing and promotional purposes across Remitly, Amplify Africa, and Discover Gidi platforms, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.

14. Terms Modification and Legal Disclosures

1. These terms are subject to change at any time with or without notice, pending legal review or operational adjustments.
2. This promotion is void where prohibited by law.
3. Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of California, and all disputes shall be resolved exclusively in courts located within Los Angeles County, California.
