The best part of Fashion Week isn’t always what happens on the official runways. Sometimes, it’s the parties, offsite shows and everything happening in between.

On Day 4 of Diaspora Week Lagos, we stopped by the Africana X Perience Fashion Week Street Souk Party, and it was exactly the kind of Lagos Fashion Week gathering you’d hope for. Walking in, we were greeted by a vibrant space, racks of clothing and designs that seemed to glow under the lights. Fashion, music, and good energy came together in one place.

Think beautiful people, flowing drinks, good food and music that makes it almost impossible to keep your feet still. The atmosphere had all the ingredients of a classic Lagos fashion week party, and then some. The night also featured a musical performance by David Hart, who had the ladies in the room swooning and singing along.

From the fashion to the music and the people who brought the space to life, it was a night worth capturing.
