From Scrap Metal To Cybertruck: The Nigerian Engineer Building Big With Almost Nothing

Self-taught Nigerian engineer Yakkabad has proved exactly that you don’t need a huge budget to build something remarkable after he built a Tesla Cybertruck-inspired vehicle from scrap metal, discarded materials and a salvaged engine.

Working with a limited budget, he handcrafted key components including the steering system, brakes and the vehicle’s distinctive angular body panels using materials sourced around his neighbourhood.

What began as junk was transformed into a futuristic-looking vehicle and a striking example of Nigerian ingenuity, creativity and the ability to build with whatever is available.

For Yakkabad, the project is less about having the right resources and more about knowing what to do with the ones you have.
