The 2026 BET Awards took place yesterday on June 28, 2026 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California and was hosted by Druski, who made history as the award show’s youngest host. 

The 2026 BET Awards notably celebrated a new generation of music, film and sports stars, with Teyana Taylor emerging as the night’s biggest winner. She picked up multiple honours, including Best Actress, Video Director of the Year and the Fashion Vanguard Award, while Clipse won Best Group and Album of the Year. Other big winners include Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, Kehlani, Leon Thomas and Olivia Dean who also took home awards.

The night ended interestingly for African artists as no African artist took home a trophy. This follows as African acts competed in the main categories following the removal of the Best International Act category.
