TOUR ALERT: Asake Is Coming to a City Near You

@mrmoney

Fresh off selling out Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center and London’s O2 Arena on his Lungu Boy World Tour, Afrobeats superstar Asake is heading back on the road.

The two-time Grammy nominee has announced his In God We Trust Tour, which will take him across North America and Europe, with stops in London, Paris, Toronto, Atlanta, Los Angeles and a headline appearance at Afro Nation Portugal. The tour comes on the heels of the success of M$NEY, the chart-topping project thatΒ dropped May 1 and shattered Spotify records for an African album.

Kicking off on July 4 and running through October 24, the North American leg includes dates in Chicago, Toronto, Laval, Brooklyn, Lowell, Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles, as well as a stop in Colombia. The European run will see Asake perform in London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris before making his way to Afro Nation Portugal, one of the biggest Afrobeats festivals in the world. South African amapiano star Uncle Waffles will join the tour as a supporting act.

The announcement follows a landmark moment in Asake’s career. M$NEY secured the biggest opening week for an African album in Spotify history, generating 55.98 million streams globally in its first week. The album also set a new Spotify Nigeria opening-week record with 37.5 million streams.

Beyond its commercial success, M$NEY marked a significant business milestone for the artist. The project is Asake’s first full-length release under his independent label, Giran Republic, in partnership with EMPIRE, signalling a new chapter in his career following one of the most successful runs in contemporary African music.

With sold-out arenas already under his belt and record-breaking streaming numbers to match, the In God We Trust Tour is set to be another major statement from one of Afrobeats’ biggest global stars.
