The Biggest Winners At The 12th Edition of The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards

It is a commonly accepted fact of life that Nigerians no dey carry last and it is also generally known that when it comes to parties and events, Nigerians come out in full force. This was the case over the weekend, when Nigerian stars stole the show by not just taking home some of the biggest awards at the the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and also delivering some of the most memorable looks that are dominating the internet and conversation even right now.

The 2026 Africa Magic Viewers Choice, the annual ceremony celebrates achievements in African film, television and digital storytelling, was held at Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos on Saturday, May 9, 2026  with some of the night’s biggest winners including actress Linda Ejiofor went home with two awards: Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress for her performances in “The Serpent’s Gift” and Daniel Etim-Effiong’s directed film “The Herd” respectively while actor Uzor Arukwe went home with the Best Actor award for his performance in “Colours of Fire” and Akinola Davies Jr who won Best Director with My Father’s Shadow winning a total of five awards including Best Movie.
